Lecture by Mr Kalle Rajantie from the University of Applied Science of Hamk, Finland

Mr Rajantie from the University of Hamk gave a lecture whose title is "Multiobjective decision taking".

The main concept of his speech was the development of a decision-taking software program, called HIPRE. In the process that HIPRE works, the user have to take a final option between the candidates, but there are a lot of internal and external factors that affects the final decision.

Mr Rajantie showed the software with a practical example implemnted in Finland. That excample deals with the location of ytv-waste incineration plan in Helsinki Metropolitan area. There was four candidates: Juvanmalmi, Ämmässuo, Kivikko and Langmossebergen. Finally, considering all the factors, Lanmossebergern was the better place to build the plant.
