Lecture by Mr Kalle Rajantie from the University of Applied Science of Hamk, Finland

Mr Rajantie from the University of Hamk gave a lecture whose title is "Multiobjective decision taking".

The main concept of his speech was the development of a decision-taking software program, called HIPRE. In the process that HIPRE works, the user have to take a final option between the candidates, but there are a lot of internal and external factors that affects the final decision.

Mr Rajantie showed the software with a practical example implemnted in Finland. That excample deals with the location of ytv-waste incineration plan in Helsinki Metropolitan area. There was four candidates: Juvanmalmi, Ämmässuo, Kivikko and Langmossebergen. Finally, considering all the factors, Lanmossebergern was the better place to build the plant.

The video we watched in class talked about the case of Rover South Works. That company improved their sales since 1986 with a 233% rise. That impressive grown has made that the company closes the South Works at Cowley.

The reasons given by the company are that "new technology requiere less space". That decision will create a lot of unenployement.

Hi everyone!

My name is David an I'm electronic engineering student (the only one in the subject!).

I live in Ibi, a village 15 kilometers form Alcoi. I like to play percussion (I play in the wind-band of my town) and drums (i had a rock band, but it died :D), mountain binking and BMX cycling. Here you can see a picture taken a few years ago.

Yes, I finished that trick in the floor! hahaha

But what i really love is rock climbing and mountaineering. That involves a lot of travels where you can meet a lot of amazing places and people.
